Is your child having a hard time managing big feelings?

Do mornings, homework, or bedtime often feel like a struggle?

Have you noticed your child feeling anxious or losing confidence?

If so, you are not alone--support is available.

Hi! I am Paula Henriquez, a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Maryland, specializing in evidence-based therapy for children and women.

At Lavender Hills Psychotherapy, LLC my goal is to help young children build emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence while empowering parents with the tools they need to support their child’s development.

As a dedicated Maryland-based bilingual child psychologist specializing in trauma, I am committed to helping children and families navigate the challenges that come with difficult life experiences. I also work closely with women who are facing stress-related issues, providing a compassionate and supportive space for healing and growth.

I work closely with preschool-age children and their families to address behavioral challenges and strengthen parent-child relationships. Using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), I guide parents in developing effective communication, positive discipline strategies, and nurturing connections with their children.

Adolescents

Thirteen to Eighteen Year Olds

I provide a safe and supportive space where teens can express themselves, develop healthy coping strategies, and build the confidence needed to handle life’s demands. Through a collaborative approach, I also work with parents and educators to ensure adolescents receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive both emotionally and academically.
